This class will cover diet, herbs, and wellness from the Ayurvedic Medicine perspective.. We’ll integrate Eastern and Western herbs and terminology to look at constitution (doshas) in both balance and imbalanced states, and talk about how this system can be used with clients to improve their health in a holistic way.
Although elegant and simple, Ayurveda is more than a quick fix: it’s an ancient, artfully woven philosophy that looks at health and disease states in a very different way from other models, and incorporates unique healing strategies for body, mind, and spirit. This course will introduce you to the essentials of Ayurvedic techniques and theory and give you hands-on experience so that you can go home and use what you’ve learned with your family, friends, and clients.
