Learn to identify and harvest edible and medicinal mushrooms from the local wild area. Class will begin with the basics of mushroom identification, including terminology, identification features, spore prints, family groups, and more. In the afternoon, we’ll head into nearby woods to examine varieties of wild mushrooms. We will also be looking for medicinal and edibles. Following the foray, we will visit the local mushroom fair.
